Mc'Donald's, Shafallah Launch Book Campaign

Doha: Al Shafallah Center and McDonald’s Qatar have partnered for a campaign to educate children. The campaign encourages McDonald’s customers to buy children’s books that were specifically developed for the campaign that are available at all McDonald’s restaurants in Qatar, with all proceeds going towards the projects for children through the Al Shafallah Center for Children with Special Needs.

Four children’s books were developed for this campaign in both English and Arabic, each with their own valuable message such as the importance of reading, giving back to your community and leading a balanced lifestyle.

The books are sold for QR5 each and offer simple and entertaining stories that are easy for children to read and enjoy and will ultimately help children in Qatar.

“We are thrilled to be able to give back to the community in a way that allows our customers to help their children learn valuable lessons while at the same time teaching them the importance of helping others as all proceeds will go towards the projects of the Al Shafallah Center for Special Needs in Qatar,” said Kamal AlMana, Managing Director of McDonald’s Qatar.

Samira Al Qasimi, General Manager of the Shafallah centre expressed her appreciation to McDonald's for its continuous support over the past several years and for the services and programmes provided by the company to the centre.
